Some of our clients’ stories.

Most of our clients prefer to stay private, and we respect that. Here are a few of their stories.

Clay
“I am making a big change in my life and the life of my family. It’s been made possible by @bitizenship and @thealepalombo.”
Clay and his wife decided to leave the United States with two small children, looking for a walkable life, real food, a community and a cost of living a family can sustain. They chose Italy.

A North American surgeon
“Watching the political pendulum swing at home, I wanted a second option for my family, one that doesn’t depend on who wins the next election. I’m happy with where I am today, working towards Portuguese residency and, in time, citizenship. I hope they build the same product for other countries too. I’d absolutely want to keep working with Bitizenship on other programs.”

An entrepreneur from Singapore
“For my personal portfolio, exposure to Europe made sense. For my family, residency today and citizenship in the future matter a lot. As an entrepreneur in tech myself, this was the natural choice for me. Excellent service.”

A finance professional from San Francisco
“I had wanted residency in Portugal through investment for years. Real estate never convinced me: I didn’t think the options were solid, and they didn’t fit my preferences. Bitizenship did something new, and I’m proud to have joined the Golden Visa fund. A great experience.”
A few numbers, to date.

We know our clients by name, and we go the extra mile for every one of them. Creating new options for families is what we love most. With borders being redrawn in the age of AI, there’s no better time to be building in this space.
A typical journey, from the first call to your residence card.
First call
We look at your family, your goals and your timeline, and tell you honestly what fits.
Documents
We prepare your file with our legal partners, one checklist, one point of contact.
Investment
You invest in the product that fits your plan, with every cost on the table.
Application
We file and follow your application. In Portugal, expect 11 to 14 months to biometrics.
Residence card
You receive your card. We stay with you for renewals and, in time, citizenship.
We chose our legal and local teams with care, and we still look at every case on its own facts. Today, timelines look like this.

Across all our clients, the biometrics appointment has come between 11 and 14 months after filing, on average.

This year a backlog pushed files to around nine months. Things are now back on track, and we are working towards six.

The stories on this page involve different companies of the Bitizenship group, depending on the product each family chose. Cases involving our Golden Visa fund relate to Bitizenship Capital SGR, S.A., an asset management company authorised by the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM). Bitizenship Pte. Ltd., the group’s holding company, acts in an advisory capacity only.
We share these stories in good faith and to the best of our knowledge. Every journey is personal, and no past case can promise or predict the next one. Programs of this kind rest on the decisions and timelines of public authorities, which is why we never promise a particular outcome. Out of respect for their privacy, we have left out the names and details of clients who prefer to remain anonymous.
