Bitizenship, formerly Unbound.

Same founders, same programs. One name since 2025.

In short

Bitizenship is the company previously known as Unbound. Unbound was the name of both the company and its Portugal Golden Visa fund; in 2025 the company rebranded to Bitizenship.

Articles from 2024 that mention Unbound together with Alessandro Palombo, the Portugal Golden Visa and Bitcoin describe what is now Bitizenship. The rebrand changed the name, not the business: Bitizenship still designs investment pathways to a second residency and citizenship for Bitcoin-aligned investors, now in Portugal and Italy.

Why the name changed

One distinctive name for a growing group.

“Unbound” is a common word used by many unrelated companies. As the group grew from one fund in Portugal into an international group with a second program in Italy, it adopted one name that says what it does: Bitizenship, Bitcoin and citizenship together. The Bitizenship trademarks have been in use since 2024.
